SEMI-ABSTRACT LOOSE FLORALS IN WATERCOLOUR – ZOOM DEMO

Inspired by the xieyi tradition of Chinese freehand brush painting, which emphasizes capturing essence over realism, Redford incorporates these principles as a foundation for exploring colour, texture, movement, and abstract form while often working alla prima.

In 2026, Redford was invited to teach watercolour florals through the Online Studio program with the National Gallery of Canada. She also offers online workshops via Zoom, sharing her expressive approach to contemporary floral painting with artists around the world.
