Lots of newsprint paper or manila paper for 5 quick 1 minute action poses and 5 quick 2 minute action poses. There will be a quick washroom break and then there will be 5 – 5 minute poses; and another quick break (tea-coffee). Now we will start with 2 – 10 minute poses and finally a 20 minute or what time we have left. Bring graphite-> pencils Standard hb to a 8B; charcoal, conte, pastels, (whatever you like to draw with) and make sure your paper suits the medium.
If we have WGA members joining the Life drawing class for the first time and who feel they will need assistance please let me know. I will do my best to help you take your first steps into this unique form of expression.
May I suggest practice drawing your hand or your feet, Get a friend to just sit and read or watch TV; while you draw. Try drawing the model from head to toe in fast circles. This method is to capture the action (not the person)
