| Bio: | Mo Rifaat grew up in Egypt in an artistic environment where his mother was a celebrated painter, and has resided in Canada since 1968. He holds degrees in architecture and urban planning from the University of Toronto, and has enjoyed a wide-ranging career which has taken him to many far-away places. Although he spent his professional life in business and government, Mo has never been long removed from his love of drawing. In recent years, he has developed his watercolour technique through studies at the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Blue Mountain School of Landscape Painting.
Mo's diversified subjects and versatile techniques span the spectrum from detailed structural renderings and streetscapes to broad brush landscapes. His style tends towards realistic representation but enjoys experimenting with free flowing creative colours. |
