| Bio: | A painter both in Watercolour and in Oil, Carolyn tries to bring the joy of childhood and the freedom of summer to her work. Carolyn began painting in watercolour and loves the feel and texture of the paper. While she does paint in oil on canvas, she works frequently on paper. She maintains the archival integrity by sealing the rag paper in acrylic before painting. Carolyn Grand studied Biology, English and Art at Gustavus Adolphus College, in St. Peter, Minnesota and later graduated in Design from the University of Minnesota. She moved to Venezuela and then Toronto where she began continued education in Art through the Art Gallery of Ontario, OCAD, Avenue Road Art School and through workshops and courses from painters in North America.
Carolyn works both in watercolour and oil in Toronto and Muskoka and has shown most recently at the Edward Day Gallery in Toronto and the Thera Gallery with the Toronto Watercolour Society.
